Tredmill, rowing machine and step trainer are probably the most efficient machines to lose weight, do 10 minutes one each machine per time you do it (even if it’s walking or level 1 you will get fitter) eat healthy, and drink plenty of water. If your serious about this and want to be fitter you will have to exercise at home 1 hour a day doing sqauts, walking up and down stairs, jumping, and running on ther spot, and ho gym 3-4 times per week 1-2 hours a week. From doing this you can shift 3 stone in 3 months it worked for me and I feel a lot better. Just dedicate yourself to this an you’ll see great results! All the best
you can do it but put everything you have into it, you wont loose weight if your eating the wrong foods eat organic and a diet, when you exercise push your self to the limits and you ll loose weight it will be exhilarating and worth it.you ll feel so good when your thin
Most gyms have complimentary consultations with a personal trainer to teach you how to use the machines and to measure your body composition (BMI, % body fat, hydration). Check with them first, that’s usually included in your membership. Someone will try to get you to sign up for a personal trainer, but don’t feel obligated. Get as much information as you can, you are entitled to that because you are a paying member.
If for some reason, that’s not available, there are websites like livestrong.com. It would be really helpful for you to have some support, like a friend or family member to work out with or to help keep you motivated.
Weight training is very important and takes time to learn proper form, intensity, selection of weights and frequency for each exercise. Also important for losing weight is cardiovascular exercise, which means exercise where you are moving fast enough to raise heart rate while still able to converse, such as walking, swimming, bike riding. A heart rate monitor helps but is not necessary. You can do cardio every day, but only do weight training every other day. For example, you can weight train upper body Monday, Wednesday and Friday, then weight train Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Rest at least 1 day a week.
Get some support. It’s ok to ask questions in this forum, but it’s even better if you have someone near you to help answer questions and work out with you, also to have a ‘spotter’ when you lift weights. If you don’t have anyone to help you, at least find a good guide online for a beginner, or pick up a book from the library or a book store. Go for it, you can do it!
