i get a good amount of exercise, but i need a diet that will just slim me down a bit so i wont always have to have a towel wrapped around my stomach in the summer instead of showing off my bikini.

Below is an article on losing belly fat…
If you are still not in puberty, I would not worry about the belly fat. Your body will eventually even everything out. Make sure you get plenty of exercise and fix your diet, limit your sodas and junk food.
Targetted weight loss is quite difficult, many people would declare impossible, however the only method which really worked for me is green tea, it can be seen in the resource box below, they have a limited number of free trials remaining, it has been reported in Reader’s Digest and USA Today. I shed thrity pounds, it really does produce success!
You have to be careful about dieting you want to be healthy not starved. My best advice is to eat enough protein. I wish I had known that at your age. Eat when you are hungry but choose protein before carbs. Protein builds everything in your body. What happens if you eat more carbs (potato rice sugar bread cake cookies sweets) is that your body lowers it’s metabolism. (thinks you can’t find enough food and it is a famine)Meat makes muscle. (eggs chicken and fish do too) Muscle burns fat. Carbs tell your pancreas to make more insulin. Insulins job is to store fat. It gets the extra sugar out of your blood and stores it as fat. If you eat enough protein you will hungry less often. Also ask your parents if you can take a chromium supplement. It reduces sugar cravings very well and most people are chromium deficient unless they eat liver often. Just increase your protein a bit and lower your carbs a bit and you can throw that towel aside. Many people think starving themselves will make them lose weight…it doesn’t. You soon find you are eating next to nothing and still not losing weight. Your body wants to be active and energetic and it will be more efficient at buring fat and making muscle if you get enough protein. It also makes your hair and skin better. Don’t worry about cooking with olive oil -it is good for you. I grew up when they said high carbs were better for your heart…oh if I’d only known. .
Your body is the way it should be and you shouldn’t try to change it. Even after you go through puberty you will still have fat around your belly. You are a girl, so it is meant to be there. It’s more attractive than have a body that is just straight up and down. You can be proud of your body just the way it is.
