How long have you maintained your weight loss?

How long have you maintained your goal weight, and how? Have you ever been in a cycle of yo-yo dieting? Do you think it is possible to maintain your weight loss for life?

 

I am recently on a diet. I am 12 years old, and trying to loss weight. My mom doesn’t agree with me that burning more then you ate in one day is the key to successful weight loss! Is that true? What are some good tips?

 

I am 15 1/2 boy and am overweight i weight about 80 Kg’s and wanna get to 60 by dec. I have this weight loss stuff. I just wanna kno if its safe to take? Not ganna affect reproductive systems or stunt growth etc? Thanks. And i know tht you have to diet and excercise alot with it too work.

Is walking one hour a day a good start for weight loss ? I’m trying to lose as much weight as possible I’m 6’2 and weigh 289…Are there any good weight lifting exercises I could do to go along with my workout ?

I am into my 4th week of a rigorous exercise program. So far, I haven’t noticed much weight loss. Will it accelerate once I build up some muscles, say by the 6th week? And then afterwards, does it plateau?

 

I have been diagnosed with insulin resistance and have been prescribed 2500 mg metformin daily.

Many ppl with PCOS, metabolic syndrome, or insulin resistance lose weight bc their insulin isnt working properly without the aid of metformin or the like. I have been on it for over a week and have not lost any weight.

What is considered a dangerous weight loss?

I have lost 2 kilos within 2 days due to diarrhea and have a loss of appetite. The doctor says there is nothing to be worried about. therefore I would like to know at what rate weight loss would be a signal of a dangerous illness?

What is the best exercise for weight loss?

I have a one yr old baby and want to lose about 25 lbs. What is the best exercise for weight loss? I have the P90X but can’t get around to trying it. Also, I want to buy a treadmill since I don’t exactly have all the time in the world to go to a gym. I work full time and have a 1 1/2 hour commute each way.
Any ideas?

 

I’ve heard snacking through out the day is good, but then i’ve heard that you shouldn’t snack to loose weight. I’m currently trying to loose weight and i have the working out part down, i just need to figure out the eating part of things. I’ve been trying to eat less calories than normal, but i always end up slipping.

How do I get past this weight loss plateau?

I lost 15lbs over the course of the last 3 months averagin 1-1 1/2 lbs lost. I am 5’5" and I am now down to 142 lbs. I still want to lose another 15 lbs (is this okay?).
I have tried eating whatever I want to jumpstart my weight loss but that did not work. Currently I am on a semi-low-carb diet. I have to have some carbs because I get too dizzy. I also work out 3-4 times a week. Cardio for 1/2 hr and then strenghening exercises.
How can I get past this weight loss?
The scale hasn’t budged from 142lbs in 3 weeks.

 

I don’t always go to my local gym, and i’d like to try one of those dancing weight loss videos i see on the television. If you know of any that ACTUALLY give you a good workout, and you saw results, please let me know.
