As I am sure everyone will say the number of months it will take to loose the belly fat depends on how much belly fat you started off with. But I think you are asking the wrong question. You should be more interested in consistently loosing weight and keeping it off.
Here is the best way to loose and keep off belly fat. I call the the one pound a week deal. If every day you burn and extra 300 calories and cut an extra 300 calories out of your diet you will loose a pound a week.
How to burn 300 calories: walk at a quick pace for 45 minutes, jog for 30 minutes, play any sport for 20 minutes or best of all go to the gym ( that will burn a lot more than 300 calories).
How to cut 300 calories out of your diet: cut out two candy bars, cut out two sodas, cut out one order of fries, eat a half portion instead of a full one.
Do any combination from each of the above and you will loose one pound a week. Combining diet and exercise will ensure you loose weight evenly and not just in your face and arms/legs. That means loosing more weight around your belly. Plus weight lost slowly and through good healthy habits, such as I outlined, will be weight not easily gained back.
It really just depends on how big you are. I would give it 3 weeks before you really start to notice anything though.
It depends on a large number of factors, you are being too general. Things like body fat percentage, what types of foods you eat ("eating right" has a different meaning to different people), how much cardio you do, body mass index, how much water you drink, what types of exercises…i could go and on, but the fact is you need to be more specific on your stats before you can even come close to an estimate
